等待的煎熬 | The Anxious Wait
2025 年 11 月，我完成了 APCA 舉辦的 RMSK（Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography）國際認證考試。接下來的兩個月，幾乎每天都帶著忐忑不安的心情反覆刷新網頁，等待那個決定命運的結果。
In November 2025, I completed the RMSK (Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography) exam organized by APCA. For the next two months, I refreshed the results page almost every day, feeling nervous and anxious.
更讓自己冒冷汗的是——成績都還沒公布，我就已經把考試心得分享出去了。現在回想起來，萬一沒考過，那篇文章豈不是成了最大的笑話？
What made it even more embarrassing was that I had already shared my exam preparation tips online before the results came out. Looking back, if I had failed, that article would have been a big joke.
生日的巧合 | A Birthday Surprise
說來神奇，2023 年考 CIPS 時，通過結果正好在我生日當天揭曉。三年後，老天爺又選擇同一天，送上這份完美的生日禮物——我正式通過 RMSK 認證。
Interestingly, when I took the CIPS exam in 2023, the results came out on my birthday. Three years later, the same thing happened again — I received my RMSK passing notification on my birthday. What a perfect gift.
什麼是 RMSK | What is RMSK
RMSK（Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography）是一項國際級專業認證，評估醫師在骨骼肌肉超音波領域的理論知識與臨床能力，涵蓋肌肉、關節、韌帶、肌腱、軟組織的影像判讀，以及骨骼肌肉疾病的臨床整合應用。
RMSK (Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography) is an international certification that tests a physician's knowledge and clinical skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound. It covers imaging of muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and soft tissues, as well as clinical applications for musculoskeletal diseases.

首先要感謝 Kevin Chang 老師。當初我在體系醫院苦無門路進入超音波領域，老師二話不說為我背書，讓我有機會加入超音波學會。也因為 USMSIT、NMUSIT 完整的超音波知識架構訓練，我才能順利考取國內超音波專科醫師，甚至有幸與學會前輩一同參加國際會議。
First, I want to thank Dr. Kevin Chang. When I was struggling to enter the ultrasound field at my hospital, he supported me without hesitation and helped me join the ultrasound society. Through the comprehensive training programs of USMSIT and NMUSIT, I was able to become a certified ultrasound specialist in Taiwan and even attend international conferences with senior colleagues.

兩位老師對超音波影像的要求極為講究——光是 volume average 怎麼調、color Doppler 如何優化，就能講上半個小時。正是這樣近乎苛求的標準，讓我在準備考試時養成了注重細節的習慣，最終才能順利通過 RMSK 的嚴格要求。
Both teachers have very high standards for ultrasound imaging. They could spend half an hour just explaining how to adjust volume average or optimize color Doppler settings. This attention to detail helped me develop good habits during my preparation, which was essential for passing the exam.
一起奮戰的前輩們 | Fellow Colleagues
由於 RMSK 認證在台灣大多是復健科醫師相約組隊報考，去年我卻遲遲找不到同好一起準備。所幸，Justin Chiu、廖偉成與 John Ycy 三位前輩毫無保留地分享他們的應考經驗與準備方向，讓我能在最短時間內達到考試要求。這份無私的幫助，我銘記在心。
In Taiwan, most RMSK candidates are physiatrists who prepare together in groups. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any orthopedic colleagues to study with last year. Fortunately, Justin Chiu, Wei-Cheng Liao, and John Ycy generously shared their exam experiences and study tips with me. Their selfless help allowed me to prepare efficiently in a short time. I am truly grateful.
四小時的耐力賽 | A Four-Hour Endurance Test
RMSK 考試雖然不用飛到美國，但四小時的線上測驗同樣是場硬仗，考驗的不只是知識，還有體力與專注力。
Although the RMSK exam doesn't require traveling to the United States, the four-hour online test is still very challenging. It tests not only your knowledge but also your stamina and focus.
我把這場考試當成單車長途騎乘來規劃——事先安排好什麼時候出來吃點東西、上個廁所，確保自己能撐完全程。由於線上系統要到考試當天才能實際操作，我一直很擔心不小心在還沒寫完時誤觸交卷。
I planned for this exam like a long-distance cycling race — I scheduled when to take breaks, eat snacks, and use the restroom to make sure I could last through the whole test. Since I could only access the online system on the exam day, I was worried about accidentally submitting the test before finishing.
中文：考試中途，我曾連續遇到好幾題不會的題目，心情一度動搖。穩住情緒後，我決定大膽跳題，先完成有把握的部分再回頭處理。我想，這個策略是最後能夠通過的關鍵。

難以準備的題型 | Challenging Question Format
RMSK 的考題不只是選擇題，大部分題目會要求你用滑鼠在影像上標出正確位置——這種題型讓習慣背誦選項的考生很難靠猜題過關。
The RMSK exam is not just multiple-choice questions. Most questions ask you to use your mouse to mark the correct location on an ultrasound image. This format makes it very hard to pass by guessing.
中文：印象中，即使購買了官網價格不斐的模擬試題，面對真正的考試時幫助仍然有限。唯有扎實的臨床經驗與影像判讀能力，才是真正的底氣。

RMSK 不只是一張影像能力的證書，更代表著：

對自己而言 | For Myself
年輕醫師想在傳統骨科次專科的框架之外，再創一個屬於自己的專業品牌，真的不容易。
It is not easy for a young doctor to build a personal brand outside the traditional orthopedic subspecialty framework.
但我始終相信，如果能將骨科不同次專科的關節鏡手術加以整合，搭配骨骼肌肉超音波與 C-arm 影像導引，逐步發展脊椎內視鏡以外的內視鏡手術，應該還是能走出一條屬於自己的特色醫療之路。
However, I believe that by integrating arthroscopic surgeries from different orthopedic subspecialties, combining musculoskeletal ultrasound with C-arm guidance, and gradually developing endoscopic surgeries beyond spinal endoscopy, I can create my own unique path in medicine.
